I always love it when designers and labels collaborate together, as they always manage to create something astounding and alluring.
If you’re in the same boat as me, then you’ll be happy to know that founder of Preventi Shoes, Sauro Doria a.k.a Mr. Preventi, has unveiled a special limited edition men’s and women’s shoe, only available for purchase at any 124 store.
For those not in the know, Mr. Preventi is a master at creating fine quality shoes that feature intricate detailing and excellent craftsmanship. So it really comes as no surprise that he would collaborate with 124 Shoes, a store that revels in stocking and producing luxury products that will appeal to even the fussiest shoe lover.
This collaboration comes as the second label to produce a limited edition for 124 Shoes. Everything within this exclusive collection is made from artisan shoemakers in Marche, a region in Italy that is renowned for housing the best of the best in shoe craftsmanship.
Along with the unveiling of the new collaboration, Mr. Preventi also shared with us his reason for coming to Melbourne. In addition to speaking about the history of his brand, he also spoke about the Global Nomads Project – a community of globetrotters who set about travelling the world to achieve their biggest dreams and overcome their life challenges.
When describing the shoes themselves, one immediate word springs to mind – intriguing. It’s elegant and chic, stylish but not overstated. They are inspired by two models, both of which are closely affiliated to the iconic designer.
The first is Vittoria, a women’s shoe that exudes subtle sophistication through its vibrant green colours and soft lines.
The second is David Loftus, a Global Nomad who gives name to the shoe. These brogue-boots are earth coloured to mimic Loftus’ travelling lifestyle as a popular photographer.
